What to expect
The SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness is designed to prepare graduates for work as a personal trainer. Whilst components of this can be achieved through theoretical study, the application of this in a practical environment is essential in preparing for a workplace environment. As such, the completion of your Certificate IV in Fitness requires the completion of a total of 40 practical hours, achieved through two main tasks:
1. A workplace internship/ work placement at a gym of your choice (25 hours)
2. A practical assessment at an FIA Fitnation campus (15 hours).
Students must complete the workplace training in full to achieve a satisfactory grade. See the 'Workplace Training' tab in your course for a full summary and the Workplace Training Logbook.
Some gyms will ask for you to have your own insurance, you do not need to get your own for your workplace training hours. You can provide the insurance certificate below, under which you are covered during your workplace training hours.
